YES, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Ordinary people, doing extraordinary things make a difference in this world

Hatred won’t change the world, love will. The impact of inspirational stories leaves a personal touch on the receiving heart. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.”

Making a difference in the life of another person can have a profound effect. In many cases, the difference creates a domino effect of paying it forward.

What has impacted your life? What inspired you to be a better person, a better parent, a better wife, or husband, a better neighbor? Was it a news story you saw that brought you to tears? Was it an heart touching episode that directly impacted what you experienced? Maybe it was a song that spoke to your heart. Or a simple kind gesture from a stranger that inspired you.

Making a difference in this world can be simple. It doesn’t require one person to campaign against social injustice of this world. It doesn’t mean one should organize a concert and raise thousands of dollars to rid the world of terrible diseases. All of these are great, but it doesn’t have to be that grand. It could be as simple as a listening to a grieving friend or babysitting for a single mom.

Every person has a circle of life, a circle of people within their life that shapes their environment. What if you were to be the seed in that circle that made the difference?

What if you brought inspiration and encouragement right where you are? Take a moment and look around you for there are many opportunities within your circle. You can make a difference.

“Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get past any excuse to change any and every part of your life in an instant.”
Well, think about standing in a completely dark room with no lamps or light switches. You light a candle, and suddenly there’s a little light, and the darkness doesn’t seem quite as bad. Then, slowly, people join you, until there are a hundred people with a hundred candles. Now the room is bright-and the darkness is gone!
Maybe you can’t change the world, but you can change your world. God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. He can use you right where you are.
“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.”

Some of the victims were attacked with sulphuric acid which can

Touch The World – Make A Difference
By Pervez Saleem/Anmol Irfan: You must never look for a reason to help those who yearn for support. Extending a helping hand not only vanishes tears off their face, but also acts as a cure for oneself. Self-satisfaction makes life worth living. We live in a world that encompasses a major share of the poor and downtrodden. Each person may have a different need in his/her life. While some yearn for success, some don’t have the most basic amenities such as a shelter or enough food to eat. But that’s not all, some people may be in need of mere affection, those who are longing to see smiles. We are lucky to be living a comfortable life. How good it will be if we

The need to help should be our first reaction and offering help should be the genuine manifestation of being a good human as our parents taught us to be. Sometimes, we may discover we helped the wrong person, but that should not be a reason to stop helping other people in need, even though we were fooled previously. If you want to do good there are opportunities everywhere. Don’t let the fools spoil your good heart.”—————————————————————————————-Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation The Microsoft co-founder announced this week that he’s donating $20 billion to the Bill

A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be
