YES, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Ordinary people, doing extraordinary things make a difference in this world

Hatred won’t change the world, love will. The impact of inspirational stories leaves a personal touch on the receiving heart. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.”

Making a difference in the life of another person can have a profound effect. In many cases, the difference creates a domino effect of paying it forward.

What has impacted your life? What inspired you to be a better person, a better parent, a better wife, or husband, a better neighbor? Was it a news story you saw that brought you to tears? Was it an heart touching episode that directly impacted what you experienced? Maybe it was a song that spoke to your heart. Or a simple kind gesture from a stranger that inspired you.

Making a difference in this world can be simple. It doesn’t require one person to campaign against social injustice of this world. It doesn’t mean one should organize a concert and raise thousands of dollars to rid the world of terrible diseases. All of these are great, but it doesn’t have to be that grand. It could be as simple as a listening to a grieving friend or babysitting for a single mom.

Every person has a circle of life, a circle of people within their life that shapes their environment. What if you were to be the seed in that circle that made the difference?

What if you brought inspiration and encouragement right where you are? Take a moment and look around you for there are many opportunities within your circle. You can make a difference.

“Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get past any excuse to change any and every part of your life in an instant.”
Well, think about standing in a completely dark room with no lamps or light switches. You light a candle, and suddenly there’s a little light, and the darkness doesn’t seem quite as bad. Then, slowly, people join you, until there are a hundred people with a hundred candles. Now the room is bright-and the darkness is gone!
Maybe you can’t change the world, but you can change your world. God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. He can use you right where you are.
“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.”
Touch The World – Make A Difference
By Pervez Saleem Video: YouTube No one should have to go hungry, especially in a world with as much wealth as ours. But the sad reality is that more than 821 million people are currently suffering from hunger. That’s one in nine people on earth who don’t have enough to eat. Hunger is a complex problem with many root causes, including poverty, conflict, and climate change. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but there are things that we can all do to help bring an end to world hunger — and opportunities to create systemic change. While world hunger is a massive and complex problem, it’s important to remember that each and every one of us can do something about it — whether through combating food waste, advocating for fair policies,

There is wisdom that comes from experience, and I am not going to stop learning from wise counsel.” “Honoring your elders like mother, father, teachers, leaders is the gesture we can show for all the convenience they provided us. Your ageing parents deserve all the respect and love for the sacrifices they have done for you in their life.” “Respect our elders. They made it through school without google or wikipedia.” “The best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.” “Respect for your elders was one of the cornerstones to civilized behavior.” You can make an elder smile today Everyone deserves a mailbox full of love letters, and we’re on a mission

By Pervez Saleem Keep Hope Alive What is hope? “Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one’s life. Hope implies a certain amount of perseverance – i.e., believing that a positive outcome is possible even when there is some evidence to the contrary.” The challenge before us all is to keep hope alive in spite of? That means “hoping when things are hopeless.” We have to learn to keep hope alive when our enemies come against us. We have to learn to keep hope alive when friends are not friendly. When neighbors are not neighborly. We have to learn to keep hope alive when our Loved ones are not loving or lovable. I have to learn to

These children didn’t just need the love and stability of a forever home, many of them also needed the basic comforts that most of us take for granted. And it’s those simple needs of the nearly 400,000 children in the U.S. foster care system that Gletow’s organization, One Simple Wish, is trying to meet. The nonprofit allows people to make “a direct difference in the lives of foster children and vulnerable families” through small, online donations that fulfill
